Hi, I’m Hailey! πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ’»

Designer and Daydreamer πŸ’–

I’m a Maryland based Graphic Designer who specializes in Branding Identity Design, Social Media Graphics, and Print Production Design. As a creative professional I love challenging myself to try new things. So in my 5 years as a professional designer I've gotten to work with talented freelancers, in the fast paced advertising agency life, and in the non-profit world. And I’m always daydreaming about what my next challenge will be.

Why I love design… πŸ’»

Deep down in my heart, I’m really just a storyteller. My best work comes from meaningful, purpose driven projects. Give me a story behind why I’m creating something and watch magic happen.

Whether its creating things like branding for an annual event that audience members will be excited to embrace, or a logo for a small business or even social media graphics that helps to drive a deeper sense of community, or artwork that people can wear on a t-shirt or hang on a wall, it all comes back to the deeper meaning of a design.

Why am I a branding specialist? πŸ’

The world of graphic design has endless amazing opportunities for creativity, so why is branding my specialty? For me, it’s one of the most rewarding things to work on. Bringing a story to life in the form of a logo, and building out supporting brand elements such as colors, visual systems, and typography is my favorite thing in the world. Each of the logos in my portfolio has a story or a dream behind it that I’m honored I was able to bring to life. I’m at 28 and counting!

My Creative Journey πŸ‘©πŸΌβ€πŸ’»

I graduated from Stevenson University in May 2020 with a degree in Art and Visual Communication Design, yes that’s right I was a pandemic graduate. So I took advantage of what I could and started off as a Freelance Design Assistant for two incredibly talented Baltimore based independent designers who helped grow my confidence and gave me hands on experience working on social media strategy, branding development, and digital design until I landed a full time job.

That’s how I found myself with the talented team at MGH. inc as a Graphic Designer working at a rapid fire pace on cross-platform social media campaigns, endless print ads, and art directing for event marketing materials. I improved my skills with the Adobe Creative Suite, grew to love (and hate) the Google Suite, and mastered my time management skill.

On the side I started an Etsy shop, Happy Type Studio, as an outlet to explore my personal creative desires. And I found a wonderful nonprofit, The Developing Artist Collaboration (DAC) in Rehoboth Beach, DE who welcomed me to join their team as a part time Freelance Brand & Content Manager so I could help strengthen their branding and social media presence and learn new skills. My side hustles let me stretch creative muscles in new ways and challenge me to keep growing.
